Sheets, covers, towels, and high quality tablecloths decorated with hand made traditional designs which depict the land and customs of Apulia. The Magliofamily has a long standing connection with the lands surrounding our town, which is evident in their research and care in choosing threads, fabrics, and finishing’s: on their splendid linens you can admire the famous trulli of Alberbello, the sea views of Polignano a Mare, the boardwalk of Mola and our sea, all sewed with love and devotion. Mimi Maglio was one of the first sales agents in Italy in the market of suitcases and trunks even before the opening of his shop way back in 1953. The emigrants, filled with hope and despair, bought their suitcases from him for their long trips to America, but couldn’t hide their tears from little Francesca, Mimi’s daughter who timidly helped him run his business. Those travelers never forgot their roots and after settling themselves in so far away, they became true admirers and promoters of Francesca’s work. After highschool, she took the linen shop into her own hands in order to stay closer to her family and develop her renowned creativity. Helped along this path by her tailor mother and taken under the wing of a well known linen producer, she created her own line of linens at only 25 years old. She soon began making super original goods and souvenirs of only the highest quality collecting clients all over the world: locals, tourists, Italian expatriates, hotels, b and bs, and future married couples who’ve selected the best linens they could find for their love nest.
